2 Quick Ways to Clear Your Energy Field
Have you ever felt heavy, drained, or like something just wasn’t right after an interaction? That’s your energy field picking up on external influences. The good news? Clearing that energy doesn’t have to be complicated.
Here are two quick and effective ways to cleanse your aura and reset your vibration.
1. Smudging: The Classic Cleanse
Smudging is one of the most well-known energy-clearing methods. Using sacred smoke from herbs like sage, palo santo, or cedar helps clear stagnant energy from your space and aura.
How to smudge your energy field:
- Light your chosen herb and let the smoke rise.
- Gently wave the smoke around your body, starting from your head and moving downward.
- Set an intention, such as “I release all energy that no longer serves me.”
- When finished, safely extinguish the herb in a fireproof dish.
But what if you’re short on time or don’t want to use smoke indoors? That’s where water comes in.
2. Water: A Fast & Effective Alternative
Water is a powerful energy conduit that can cleanse and refresh your aura in seconds. After readings, consultations, or even everyday interactions, I love to spritz my face and chakras with either holy water or a DIY smudge spray.
Try this quick water cleanse:
- Fill a spray bottle with moon water, holy water, or even plain filtered water.
- Add a few drops of sage or palo santo essential oil for an extra energetic boost.
- (Optional) Infuse with water-safe crystal chips like clear quartz or amethyst.
- Spray over your face and body while visualizing negative energy dissolving.
Prefer to make your own? Here’s a simple recipe.

DIY Smudge Spray Recipe
You don’t need sage bundles to cleanse your energy. Here are three alternative herbs and an easy way to create your own smudge spray.
3 Alternatives to Sage:
- Cedar – Great for grounding and protection.
- Rosemary – Clears negativity and enhances intuition.
- Lavender – Promotes peace and emotional balance.
How to make your own smudge spray:
- Fill a glass spray bottle with moon water or holy water.
- Add fresh or dried herbs (cedar, rosemary, or lavender).
- Let it infuse overnight, then strain out the herbs to prevent mold.
- Optional: Add a few drops of essential oil for a stronger scent.
I prefer using glass bottles over plastic because they last longer. If you can find tinted glass, even better—it helps preserve the potency of your infusion.
